What makes our sea moss different than the other brands?

It's all natural and organic!  We can prove it with documentation!

No heat added!  Heat diminishes the minerals and most companies add heat because it allows them to use less moss to make more gel which adds more profit in their pockets and you with more junk in your body.

We source our own sea moss!  Ask us to show you our import documents from the source!

We don't add preservatives or additives to the gel!

We perform lab tests for heavy metals.

All gel is made to order daily.  Nothing sits around waiting to be shipped, and we don't freeze our gel and ship it frozen.

Servings Per Jar:

Want to see a picture of the jar sizes for reference?  Take a look at picture number 4 above.

4 oz: 2-3 sample size
8 oz.: 6-8
16 oz.: 12-16
32 oz.: 26-30

Jars can come in regular mouthed and wide mouthed style mason jars.

All of these flavor options contain organic agave nectar and are sweet. If you would prefer to have any customization done to your gel, please leave a note or email us and we will be glad to accommodate your request. These include to ask for unsweetened gel, add cinnamon, add ginger, or different flavor combinations for the choices above.

HOW DO I TAKE THE GEL AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

4 oz jars do not have labels. The instructions are below:
Recommended serving size is 2 TBSP or less a day. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month, and in the freezer (in a freezer safe container...ok for pouches, not glass jars) for 3 months. Immediately place into the fridge or freezer (in a freezer safe container...pouches are freezer safe) upon receipt. The sea moss will not arrive cold. It is packed with non-toxic ice packs to prevent the sea moss from getting hot. If it arrives over 130 degrees (it's never happened), that would be the heating point that would cause the moss to break down. The ice packs keep the moss cool during transit, and it will more than likely arrive at room temperature, in the summer it will be warm. Sea moss is then refrigerated TO EXTEND THE SHELF LIFE TO 30 DAYS. Without refrigeration, sea moss will only stay fresh about 2 weeks. Certain sea miss gels have cinnamon and ginger. Both are organic. Apple cinnamon, elderberry ginger, and other listings may contain nuts. Please let us know if you have any allergies so that we can act accordingly.

Sea moss is not a tasty treat. Although some of our sea moss products have added fruit or flavors to make it more palatable and people love it, as far as sea moss goes, do not expect that it tastes like a donut or candy. It doesn't. Nothing good for you does. Most people do not take the sea moss in a heaping spoon by itself, however that is the way to get the most powerful punch from the sea moss. Most people mix their sea moss into a juice, smoothie, tea, etc. The sea moss is 90% sea moss and 10% fruit (fruit infused gel only). Fresh fruit is used on all of the flavors that say fresh fruit. Otherwise, it can be a flavoring, syrup, or organic puree to create the gel. Ingredients can impact the texture of the gel. For example. fresh fruit creates more a an apple sauce type texture, whereas anything else will create a thicker texture of gel.

We make and ship your sea moss on the same day to ensure that you receive the freshest gel possible. To configure when the gel will expire, you would go from the first day the gel ships according to your shipping label or email you receive from ETSY confirming when the gel has been shipped. Because it is shipped fresh, the gel may arrive a little watery. This is normal because the sea moss is not boiled as explained below in the MORE ABOUT OUR SEA MOSS GEL section. Gels made with fresh berries tend to be less thick than the others. This is because the berries react differently to the sea moss than other fruits. Shake the jars and place them in the fridge which will cause the gel to thicken up.

HOW IS THE MOSS SHIPPED?

ALL ORDERS OVER $35 WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING****

All gel will be shipped in jars. We no longer ship gel in pouches because they have a high probability of breaking during shipping. If you would like complimentary pouches, please leave a note on your order. We will ship your gel in a jar, but also send a freezer pouch to use for freezing your gel. DO NOT freeze the glass jars, they will break when frozen. Use a freezer safe container to freeze your gel. We will not be responsible for any jars that break because you freeze the gel in the jars.

Your gel is packaged with non-toxic dry ice packs. It will not arrive cold, but closer to room temperature. This is OK. Refrigeration extends the shelf life of the gel, but is not required overall. The ice packs can bust during shipping. They are non toxic. Simply rinse off the ice pack residue and dry.

MORE ABOUT OUR SEA MOSS GEL

Because of the laws of Chemistry, gels that contain fresh organic fruit will be a different texture than any of the others you may have purchased, as most gel sold by competitors is boiled. This is because the acid in the fruit changes the chemical properties of the gel. This might cause condensation, or the gel to appear watery when received. Shake your gel and place into the fridge and it will re-gel in a few hours. Some customers are used to boiled sea moss which produces a more gelatin-like gel. WE DO NOT BOIL OUR MOSS. Adding heat to sea moss immediately begins to decompose the elements in the moss. As we learned in High School Chemistry class, when heat is added to elements they die. Sea moss contains 94 essential elements, and is the reason why we make sea moss gel, so you can reap the amazing benefits of what sea moss is truly capable of. When sea moss is boiled, there are no longer 94 elements left in the moss. Heat releases the carageenan in the sea moss, which is why the texture is like gelatin, and has absolutely no nutritional value. In short, the texture of our sea moss is not a solid, because we haven't added heat to release the carageenan and kill the elements. It is going to be grainier (especially when we add things like elderberries, or really any fresh fruit that has a berry texture) and not as solid as sea moss that has been boiled. It is a texture like well blended applesauce. We want our customers to get what they paid for and to get a product loaded with minerals. Eating boiled sea moss is nutritionally useless, and has an extraordinarily high carbohydrate content (worse than rice!). Sea moss rarely spoils unless it is exposed to excessive heat that causes its temperature to rise above 135 degrees which starts the fermentation process. Most of our sea moss contains natural preservatives (berries, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, and more depending which gel you purchase) and the ingredients contained within the gel (all natural) help keep your gel fresh.

There are many factors that change the texture/color of sea moss gel when you use real wild harvested sea moss. Sea moss that grows naturally in the ocean varies in texture and color. There are many things that impact it, such as the temperature of the water, the depth at which the moss is harvested, and how much exposure it has to sunlight among other things. The thicker the moss, the thicker the gel, the lighter or darker the moss, the lighter or darker the color becomes. Companies who use wild crafted sea moss (it's cloned and grown in unnatural environments) is always the same texture and color. If you're used to getting sea moss that is the same all year round, it's not wild harvested sea moss.

Take pictures and submit them with your claim. USPS will refund your money because Insurance is automatically included with your purchase. We do not offer refunds for lost packages with the shipping carrier, missing packages, packages that have been marked delivered yet claimed to not be received, because you didn't like the sea moss, or for any other reason. While we do not offer refunds for any reason, should you have an issue with your purchase, please email us so that we can attempt to help resolve the issue.

We ship packages Monday through Wednesday across the country in the summertime, and during colder weather we ship Monday through Friday. We do this because we want the packages to get there by Saturday and not get stuck in transit over the weekend when the weather is warmer. We typically get 250-300 orders a day of 3 or more gels per package. We make everything the same day it is shipped so that you receive the freshest gel possible. Therefore, we require a processing time of 3-5 business days. We ship everything priority mail.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR SEA MOSS AND IS IT REAL?

I am an Import/Exporter. While visiting St. Lucia meeting with the Minister of Agriculture regarding other commodities, I was approached by someone in the Government who asked me about importing sea moss into the US. I didn't know anything about it at the time, however put a team of people on learning more about it. I met with a sea moss farmer who's family harvests the sea moss from Praslin, St. Lucia. I've been out on the boat to harvest it, have seen the facilities it's stored in, and myself and my team then learned everything we needed to know about sea moss and making gel. Our chemist then spent time developing the best formula for making gel. We bought gel from 20 different competitors and learned that the majority of them either boil the moss, or have contaminants in their gel. This is how we learned how heat impacts sea moss, and how to make a pure product that contains all of the minerals that make sea moss so beneficial to our health. Our moss has been certified as legitimate, and we can provide documentation from the Minister of Agriculture in St,. Lucia for everything we import. I visit every few months regarding moss and other imports, but always stop by our sea moss family that is responsible for bringing us such an amazing product.
